Sonia to visit Shillong on March 5

 

Shillong, March 3: Congress president Sonia Gandhi will visit Shillong on March 5 when she is scheduled to attend a host of programmes to mark the 125th anniversary of the Indian National Congress.

Chief Minister D D Lapang said Gandhi will inaugurate the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences during her visit.

She will also address a public rally at Polo Grounds where she will interact with members of the North East Congress Coordination Committee and senior party leaders of the region.

Gandhi will also lay the foundation stone of the Rajiv Gandhi Congress Bhavan here, besides visiting the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures. (PTI)
